All About You, Mom & Dad

“Happy wife, happy life” they say. And indeed it is. Nobody understands how much moms do unless you are one or care for a family, especially kids. Most moms are left with mere minutes like spare change to do anything for themselves. They don’t want to spend their unpaid break at home on cleaning or organizing! They want to RELAX, and they deserve it. The answer to this problem isn’t more time or emptying their plate like most think; it’s decluttering. I once saw a quote stating that organizing was just containing the mess. I liked that perspective, because it’s true. Less stuff = less mess = less stress. Now that’s math every parent can understand.

Don’t worry you single dads, we didn’t forget about you. Not only do you work, cook , clean, hang out with the guys, and take your kids to sports’ practices, but we know you tend to have less patience than your female counterparts. You do whatever to get the job done and we al appreciate you for that. It’s definitely not easy pretending you like princesses, sparkles, and tea parties, especially on those days when all you want are a beer and game to watch.

So why do you guys do it? Because you love your kids and want the best for them; a better life than you had. Many parents often complain that their children grew up too fast. Others are warned not to blink or they “might miss it.” Go. Go play with your kids. Go toss the football around, go to the park, swim, play ponies, whatever it is that your child is into. Leave the mess to rest. That’s our quest.
